Applying for enrollment at the Columbus Culinary Institute is designed to be easy, and we accept applications all year round. 

Our admissions process is simple:

1. Schedule a tour of the school

Visiting the Columbus Culinary Institute is an important piece to choosing the culinary school that’s right for you. Our goal during your visit is to talk with you more about your culinary dreams, show you around our 5 professionally equipped kitchens, and let you take in the sights, sounds and smells of what it means to be a Columbus Culinary student. You'll see how we prepare our culinary students for exciting careers in food and how we teach the Columbus Culinary Way to Cook.

As part of your tour, you can meet with an admissions representative who will get to know you and your culinary goals. Your admissions representative will be there to help you throughout the admissions and enrollment process.

2. Apply for acceptance

You can complete your application in person or online.  We accept applications all year round, so you’re never too late.

The basic requirement for admission is graduation from a valid high school, private school, or equivalent (GED). Applicants are admitted for enrollment on the basis of previous scholastic records as evidenced by a transcript of work completed in high school or college.  You may apply before you have graduated or earned a GED, but you must have these complete prior to starting classes. 

Upon receipt of the application, the school will request a transcript of your high school records.  You should obtain and submit any records of post-high school education and any ACT or SAT scores. We do not require the ACT or SAT, however. Generally, you’ll have a decision in approximately 4 weeks.
